WHAT YOU’LL DO

 


Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the local implementation and delivery of the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) programs for the public, patients and health care providers. The Program Manager will serve as a liaison to the local Medical Advisory Board to implement NKF programs including patient and public education, screenings and professional education activities, including Nephrology Night, CME/CE events, and CHW educational presentations. Additionally, this role will lead the Minnesota markets population health initiatives with a focus on systems level work to increase kidney health equity.

 


The Program Manager will work collaboratively with HQ & local leadership to evaluate program performance and ensure activities are aligned with the NKF’s strategic plan. Additionally, the Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Community Outreach Manager on large scale initiatives within communities at disproportionately high risk of CKD. The Program Manager will also assist with advocacy efforts at the state and federal level.

 


Deliver NKF signature programs within the local community.

  • Manage all logistics related to programs both virtually and in person.
  • Oversee program coordination, marketing, communications, program delivery, tracking and metrics.
  • Create and foster relationships with community organizations to enhance outreach and public awareness activities, focusing on communities at greatest risk of CKD.
  • In partnership with the ED and Population Health team, implement CKDintercept initiatives to support early diagnosis and prevention of CKD.
  • Expand key relationships with state and local public health departments, health systems, health plans and other partners.
  • Collaborate with the Community Outreach Manager to recruit and train volunteers.
  • Assist with local expansion strategies, by increasing community and corporate partnerships
  • Assist with securing funds for programs through grants or other fundraising opportunities
  • Produce local reports on programs performance and provide feedback to management.
  • Manage the local program budget.
  • Coordinate local Medical Advisory board meetings.
  • Performs additional duties, as required

 


WHAT YOU’LL POSSESS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s in health-related or social services field, preferred.
  • Minimum five year’s work related experience delivering health related programs to vast audiences.
  • Experience working for a non-profit health agency is preferred.
  • Experience in grant proposal writing and securing new funding opportunities through grants.
  • Experience managing and coaching staff and volunteers.
  • Experience managing project budgets.
  • Establish priorities, meet deadlines and time pressure and think creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Must be assertive, confident and project a positive presence.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word applications.
  • Flexible for overnight business travel including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION

Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintain effectiveness under pressure. Competency in use of a multiple-line telephone, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier, and other standard office equipment. Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Available for overnight business travel. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Compensation details: 55000-60000 Yearly Salary
